Dr. Prior left private practice for a life of servitude towards helping the helpless. She gave up better pay, better hours and a less stressful environment to strive to make the world a better place; one shelter pet at a time. Everyday she literally gives her blood, sweat and tears to those in need. Without her at the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center not only the animals, but those that work along side her would see darker days. Her passion and influence inspire us all to be a little better, work a little harder and go that extra mile for the animals in our care. Those who have worked in an animal shelter environment can understand just how much of your soul you give to the animals that come in. Now imagine being the only person in a facilty of hundreds able to diagnose, treat and care for all the injured, broken spirits who come through. To say she is a blessing upon our community wouldn’t do her justice. She is the piece of the puzzle that completes the whole picture.
