Web Designer

 

As a web designer, you will play a central role in the design, development, and delivery of digital communications for Pets Best. The ideal candidate will be passionate about deeply understanding the user experience and delivering thoughtful, simple, and effective designs. You will work closely with marketing and IT to translate ideas into compelling designs and see them through to release.

Responsibilities

  • Create wireframes, visual designs, or functional web applications that effectively communicate the Pets Best brand
  • Partner with marketing and technology teams to plan, design, build, and ship digital assets including web pages, display ads, email and blog templates, and offline collateral
  • Establish design and copy standards that can be applied to all company communications, and are in line with partnership requests

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven ability to create wireframes and develop them into functional digital experiences
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML and CSS
  • A portfolio that demonstrates thoughtful and well-executed visual design
  • Strong creative skills in layout and typography
  • Proficiency building responsive web applications
  • A knack for good, convincing, and succinct marketing copy
  • Good understanding of Search Engine Optimization best practices

Customer Care Agent

 

As an integral part of the Pets Best Business Development team, the Customer Service Representative II will provide excellent customer service support to policy holders, third party referral sources, and veterinary clinics. They will also support new and existing policy holders by explaining services, the claims process, and making policy changes as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responds promptly and professionally to inbound calls, online chats, and emails regarding policy coverage and claims
  • Contacts new policy holders to introduce the company and explain the policy
  • Builds rapport with customer. Listens to and responds to requests and inquiries
  • Meets department retention goals by working to retain policyholders who inquire about canceling. Ability to understand and explain what sets Pets Best apart from competitors
  • Helps policyholders understand policy contract. Makes recommendations for coverage enhancements or policy changes
  • Resource for information for team
  • Process policy changes accurately
  • Communicates premium payment information. Impact to policy premium, payment plan options, one-time payments and alternate payment arrangements
  • Contacts policyholders regarding non-payment cancellations
  • Manages and utilizes time effectively to ensure department and individual goals are achieved
  • Documents all policyholder interactions and places policy in follow-up if applicable
  • Utilizes technical systems effectively and efficiently
  • Assists with projects either in the Customer Care department or outside the department

Ideal Candidate:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills
  • 2+ years’ experience in insurance claims processing or customer support
  • Ability to review, record and organize written data from a variety of sources with no prescribed format is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Education in medical terminology or veterinary technician support is a plus
  • Undergraduate 4 year degree, in business or equivalent experience, MBA a plus
  • Must be comfortable in a dog-friendly work environment

Claims Supervisor

 

Providing oversight and direction to the claims team.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direction and oversight to the claims department personnel
  • Assisting in performance reviews
  • Providing and supervising training to the claims team
  • Managing scheduling of a large and diverse team to ensure maximum operational efficiency
  • Providing dedicated support to the claims staff and management team, to include weekend and evening availability via email and phone
  • Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching
  • Assisting claims team with daily questions and activities
  • Resolving complex customer issues, questions, and disputes by problem solving with claims team
  • Generating, interpreting and disseminating appropriate reporting on claim staff performance
  • Leading off on creating and managing appropriate staff engagement and reward (bonus) programs
  • Assisting in disciplinary actions
  • Assisting claims manager as needed
  • Pursuing full licensing in all required states
  • Other duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years employee management experience in a large, fast-paced environment
  • 5+ years clinical veterinary experience
  • 5+ years insurance claim handling experience
  • 8+ years managing a large veterinary hospital; or a Bachelors Degree in related study with related experience
  • Ability to analyze information and be detail oriented
  • Strong dispute resolution skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office & Excel
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be comfortable in a dog-friendly work environment

Claims Processor - Veterinary Technician (Boise, ID)

Essential Functions:

  1. Receives and interprets incoming Wellness, Illness and Accident claims to properly make an eligibility determination.
  2. Reviews incoming claims for completeness and applies medical condition codes.
  3. Reviews and interprets claims and individual policies to properly make an eligibility determination.
  4. Calculates invoice totals.
  5. Provides claims data entry.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
