Our easy to use online portal gives you direct access to your Pets Best customer account. This is the easiest way to submit, update, and see the status of your claims. You can submit a claim online or you can download a claim form with your personal information pre-filled. You can also set up direct deposit to get paid directly back into your banking account.

Reminders when submitting a claim

There are a few things to keep in mind when you are filing a pet insurance claim. These will ensure quick turnaround of your pet insurance claim. We also recommend asking a staff member at your veterinary hospital to help complete the diagnosis and veterinarian notes section of your claim form.

  • Observe waiting periods: Once enrolled, accident coverage begins in 3 days. Illness coverage and BestWellness™ routine care coverage, if purchased, become effective 14 days from the policy start date. 
  • File within 180 days: All claims should be filed within 180 days of the date of service. Even if you're not expecting reimbursement, please file your claims promptly so we can apply any eligible payments toward your deductible.
  • Include original paid invoices: If submitting by mail, please keep copies for your records. Please note: We cannot accept estimates or unpaid invoices as proof of payment.
  • Include proof of payment and sign your claim form: Not attaching an invoice, a proof of payment such as a credit card receipt, and signing your claim form can cause delays when we are processing your claim.
