We previously trusted Firehouse, but due to over-charging and death of our puppy, we'll NEVER use them again! We took our 8 month old puppy here after she got into medication. After minimal treatment: Consulting poison control $157.45 Nausea medication Cerenia $64.97 IV fluids $103.40 Hospitalization 7:30am-5pm $169.20 CBC $90.40 Vetscan bloodwork (98.70 twice) $197.40 Blood pressure twice $72.00 Exam $55.00 Total $909.82 She was released saying she'd be fine. Less than 30 minutes later she was having difficulty breathing, we were told it was probably congestion. 30 minutes later we were rushing her to the emergency clinic. Once there, they made every attempt to save her. ER Fee $40.00 Exam - Referral $28.00 Hospitalize ICU Level 2 Per/Shift $24.30 ECG Telemetry per/12hrs $29.23 Electrolyte Panel In-House Idexx $40.40 Radiology/2 Views $174.10 IVCath Replacment $41.50 Coagulation Panel (PT&PTT) $121.00 Propranolol HCL 1mg/ml $28.90 Acepromazine 10mg/ml $30.02 Lidocaine 20mg/ml $40.04 Furosemide 50mg/ml $31.32 Furosemide CRI Pump 50mg/ml $50.88 Blood Glucose Multiple Glucometer $15.00 PCV&TS $21.00 Nasotracheal Oxygen Tube Placement $45.30 Oxygen Via Nasal Tube q4hrs $20.00 Lidocaine 20mg/ml Fluid Additive $10.44 Enrofloxacin 22.7mg/ml $49.43 Unasyn (AmpicillinNa/SulbactamNa) 30mg/ml $42.49 Cremation $207.90 Total $883.35 ($1091.25w/cremation) We know that there's no way to know that she would've survived if Firehouse had performed chest x-rays or treated with Propranolol the recommended drug. But we can say is that had we taken her to the emergency vet instead of Firehouse, she would've received the treatment that could've saved her life and without us being price gouged.
