This vet clinic is unethical and unprofessional. My dog tore his ACL and I first called this clinic on July 21st to speak to Dr. Frank Metzler about Tightrope surgery after being referred to him from a dear friend. I sent my dogs records on Monday, July 24th and called again that day to be told I would get a return call that Tues or Wed from Dr. Metzler. I never got a call back and started calling/emailing daily to speak with him because my dog was sitting here in pain with a torn ACL needing surgery and nobody was calling me back. I finally spoke to someone (a tech) at the clinic today Aug 1 (3 days shy of 2 weeks since I first contacted this clinic) to be told my dog is not a good candidate for Tightrope. This is unethical and unprofessional to know that a dog is needing time sensitive surgery for an injury that causes much pain and to ignore the owners calls and emails. I know Dr. Metzler was getting all of my messages because I was reassured every day when I called and emailed that they were putting all of my messages in front of Dr. Metzler. I never spoke to this "highly regarded" veterinarian because I guess he was too busy and could not be bothered to spend 5 minutes on the phone with me explaining the procedure and why my dog isn't a good candidate for it. My dog could have already had TPLO surgery and be in recovery from it now but instead I am starting at square one. Shame on this vet and his clinic for dismissing an injured dog and his owner. If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT RECOMMEND

My visit here was several months ago. Frankly it took several months of therapy for me to work through the traumatic experience I had here. It also took months for me to regain my dog's trust after his treatment here. I suspect it will be years before he's able to trust a vet again. Never before have I ever seen such a disregard for consent, ethical business practices, or basic human decency.

I feel compelled to nominate 2222 Veterinary Clinic because: 1, Mindi and her husband Frank treat our dog Doby like a human being by following up with a call after every appointment in case there's any questions or concerns, a practice I find rare in a vet. They also go above and beyond for an animal. When we got Doby, his breeder unbeknownst to us opted to dock his tail himself with what we assume is a machete. When we saw him that day, his little tail was still bleeding, his spine was visible and, naturally, he was in terrible pain- not behaving like a puppy at all, simply curling up, sighing and trembling, not exploring or sniffing out his new home. We knew something was wrong and took him to Mindi (who was 9 months pregnant and to be induced the next day), who made a special exception for our pup. When we got there, she and her team immediately took Doby in, quickly checked him, determined he had infected tissue, and took him in for surgery within an hour. She amputated what was left of his tail a day before the birth of her daughter. They were also flexible with payment-a plus. A special shout-out to her husband Frank, whom I would love to include in this nomination, as he did all the follow up care and has since made sure Doby is a happy, healthy, active Weimaraner. Included, not Mindi but Doby's tail, before
