Repeated errors on health certificates and repeated attempts to overcharge on bills. When called out on it, they make the corrections but then go on the offensive and become accusatory and insulting. Talk about blaming the victim. Additionally, when one of my dogs was 19 months old, he was neutered and got a dental cleaning with Plantation, the total bill was $634. Eleven months later Plantation told me he needed dental surgery to remove baby teeth. I checked elsewhere and learned that any baby teeth that need to be pulled are normally done at the time of neutering, to save money and avoid anesthesia again. When I asked Plantation why they didn't address the issue of baby teeth when he had dental cleaning with them at 19 months, they told me the baby teeth in question weren't in yet at 19 months ! I have informed the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs, the South Carolina Board of Veterinary Examiners and the mayor of Hilton Head Island about my experiences with this practice.
