About twenty five years ago,my dog Shane became sick,I called my vet who I had for many years..i was going threw a rough period..I informed him I had no funds at the time..he said call me when you get money..my dog needed help now,not later..after a good cry,I got the phone book and started calling vets..I came across friends animal hospital..I called, they said bring him right in,they took care of my baby that day..to them it wasn't about the money,it really was about the pet..I fell in love with them that day, twenty five years later I am still in love with friends animal hospital..the name speaks for itself....friends

After going to four veterinarians to find out why our dog, Coco, kept gaining weight, we found Dr. Woodie. She ran bloodwork that confirmed Coco had Cushing's Disease, and started treatment. At age 10,Coco, had liver (tumor) surgery. Six months later, the tumor returned and Coco was bleeding internally. We left Coco with Dr Woodie (plus two assistants) who did after hours emergency surgery, but Coco's liver was too diseased, and we had to let her go. For the entire procedure and 4 hours of her time, Dr. Woodie only charged us $50. Two weeks later, we received a letter in the mail saying that Dr. Woodie made a donation in our dog's name to Cornell University for research of diseases in dogs. As our next dog, Scruffy, neared age 19, I told Dr Woodie I didn't want Scruffy to suffer, and when would I know was the right time to let her go. Dr. Woodie assured me I would know. Two weeks later, it came to say goodbye, and again, Dr. Woodie was there for us. She came out to our car to examine Scruffy, as she knew how I dreaded waiting inside. She told us to spend as much time as we needed to say goodbye to Scruffy in the car and she would wait inside until we were ready. The next day, Dr. Woodie sent us sympathy flowers. Dr. Woodie is always about the pet's best care. Precious, our new puppy, couldn't be in better hands.
