I’ve been bringing Peyton to Dr. Rufus for an eye issue for two years now and every time I bring her in for him to check her eyes he gives me eye drops that he sells from his office and told me that every time her eyes get irritated to put a couple of drops in her left eye and his name on the RX bottles. One morning she woke up and her eye looked so bad that I took her to Old Marple hospital, because whatever Dr. Rufus was doing just makes her eye worse. The Doctor took a look at Peyton at Old Marple and they asked what I was putting in her eye and I showed her the bottle. She told me that she called University of Penn veterinary hospital and they were expecting us. I drove Peyton right over and they told me that the drops I’ve been giving her were steroid drops and she was to be given antibiotic drops. The drops he gave her caused an ulcer that eventually ate through her eye and now she’s blind in her left eye and has an appointment for surgery to remove it. When I called Dr. Rufus to let him know what was going on, he already had the info from U Penn for eight days and never called me to see how she was doing and told me that he is not taking any responsibility for the drops that he sold me to put in my dogs eye. I have all the receipts from all the visits and Two Doctors told me that she is losing her eye, because of Dr. Rufus. I’ve spent over $3,000in Vet bills and putting her on aggressive antibiotic treatments to try to save it and pain killers and now made the appointment to remove it. My baby has been suffering for a long time for his mistakes and hope he doesn’t do this to another family. He has no heart and not a care in the world for what he has done to her. All he cares about is money, not the patients.
