On 03/04/2022, our dog Claude, a year old healthy black Labrador Retriever, was neutered at GVH. By Sunday, Claude had developed a 7 pound fluid bubble on his chest/rib cage area. On 03/07, we took Claude back to GVH and, without performing any labs, Dr. Alivernini diagnosed him with a seroma. Claude's condition continued to worsen and on 03/09/2022, we took Claude to VRC where he was diagnosed with a septic abdomen, slipped into shock and underwent emergency surgery. By 03/10/2022, Claude's kidneys shut down and we had to make the difficult decision to end his pain. Throughout our ordeal, Dr. Alivernini was cavalier about the situation and treated us like we were overreacting. "
