Dr. Dickey is extremely compassionate with respect to the animals and their owners. I get the feeling when talking to her that it is more than just a job but a vocation. She cares for so many animals at the shelter, many that have been discarded for various reasons, but she manages to treat them all with love and and great understanding. She has shed tears with me, comforted me when I'm down, and celebrated animal success stories with me. I can only imagine how hard it is to be responsible for so many animals, but she does so with great caring and professionalism. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Dickey to care for my dogs and hope you will consider her seriously for this honor.
