I take very long walks with my retired Greyhound, and almost every other dog walker I ran into asked if our vet was Dr. Finan. They all raved about her and her caring staff. Also, she is an expert on the treatment of Greyhounds, since their care differs from other breeds. On our first visit we received a full tour of the facility and learned exactly how "patients" were treated. Each time we have been there our pooch is greeted by the staff by his name, and we are given an explanation of what is to be expected concerning our dog's treatment. We also get a followup call to make sure that everything is going well. Once, when our dog tore a toe nail off, the entire staff stayed open after closing to treat him. Dr. Finan and her staff are all dedicated, friendly, and uptodate in every aspect of the treatment of animals. We feel lucky to have found her!

My little dog Maci is very scared of going to the doctors. Most of the time when she is frightened I sing "You are my sunshine" softly into her ear and that calms her. Upon one of our visits to see Dr. Bud she needed some blood work done. She is NOT an easy stick. With 3 of us there you can imagine how anxious not only Maci was getting but her Mom was too. They asked me if I wanted to step away and reluctantly I did. As I paced nervously waiting I faintly heard singing. Yes, they had remembered and we singing our sunshine song to my little girl! In these days of quantity not quality EVERYTHING it is so nice to have a real Doctor that cares this much about his patients. I will NEVER switch. And as a side note Dr. Bud also cared for my beloved sheltie, Shelby who lived to be 18 years and one month before I had to 'let her go'. And Dr. Bud also assisted me in that choice and did it with compassion and true caring. He is one in a million and Maci and I agree he deserves this honor.
