We moved to Roseburg 2 years ago with our two elderly pets, a cat and a toy poodle. Our cat , Misty, had hyperthyroidism and was on special medication for that. Our toy poodle, Daisy, had diabetes for the last 5 years and she required special food and insulin daily. We are retired and we loved them so much and our life centered around their daily care. After several visits within the first 9 months Christy Cutting, our Veterinarian, helped us through the agonizing decision to let our 16 yr old cat, Misty, pass away peacefully. Then one year later we also had to face the same decision with our 14 year old poodle, Daisy. We don't handle these things very well, and we were fairly new customers and new in the area. Christy exhibited not just professionalism, but concern and compassion not only for our pets, but for us also. We had broke down in tears as we held our loving pets, and when I looked up Christy was crying also and gave us hugs and words of comfort. A few days later we received a personally handwritten card with more words of comfort. This meant so much to us. She is a veterinarian who truly cares.
