Dr. Hornbuckle has been my pets' Vet. for Over 15 years. He cared for my two Labs and now is primary Dr. for my Boykin Jeb. He has always been competent, caring, informative. Even when he is busy, he finds time to answer my many questions. When issues come up he is not sure of, he researches and gets back to me ASAP. He also surrounds himself with a friendly and competent staff.He is very patient with both his patients and their owners and treats each animal as though it was the only patient he had that day. Truly a remarkable Veterinarian.

He cares and takes the time with your pet like there his own. He has saved my pets life many of times. He listens to any questions or concerns that you might have and even address some of his own. We had one dog not do good under anesthesia while being neutered and having a tooth pulled but with Dr. Hechko and his staff watched his heart rate and saved him. They are the best there!!!

She treats all of her patients as special and remembers them by name. She is compassionate, through, is up on modern treatments, works with her patients and their people to help make the best choices for their treatment in good health and end of life times. She gives 200% to her patients and we have enjoyed her as our furry friend doctor for over 20 years and would not have any other vet. She even checks up on our dogs if w have an emergency and see another vet in the practice.

Even when I need the most basic mostly cutting nails the vet actually does it himself and when I have puppies he takes enough time to go over health, feeding, and in general what is needed for healthy and happy puppies and especially the mom giving us peace of mind and everything needed for both

Dr. Barnhizer is by far the most compassionate professional that I have had the pleasure of calling "my vet". During my previous American Staffordshire Terrier's (Jasmine, a rescue dog) many heath issues, Dr. Barnhizer provided the utmost ethical support and guidance in providing me with options for my pet while always being considerate of my means and the animal's best interest. I never left an appointment feeling that I had been taken advantage of, exploited, or uninformed of my options. Through the end of Jasmine's life, I felt confident in knowing that she was receiving the best of care and felt an honest compassion from Dr. Barnhizer and her entire staff.I now have an English Bulldog (Daisy) who is 6 months old and sees Dr. Barnhizer and her staff. This is my first true puppy, and Dr. Barnhizer has provided me with the understanding of her breed's needs, helpful tips, and foresight of veterinary care to expect throughout Daisy's life. I truly feel that Dr. Barnhizer goes above and beyond for clients. Her work conveys a sincere passion for both her human and animal clients. When you have an appointment with her you genuinely feel that it is more than just a career for her it is a calling that was fortunately answered. I only wish I had a greater allotment of words to continue singing her praises.

My vet, Dr. Rich and her entire team at Gahanna are the most caring individuals that I have ever had the opportunity to work with ..........they are the most caring for both our fur babies and the humans that love them. I have a special needs baby who has seizures and some other problems. Dr. Rich and their staff at Gahanna have always taken the best care of my baby and also given me much needed advise as to how to help him have a better quality of life. He so enjoys going to visit the vet and all of the girls out front. I would highly recommend this group to anyone who is in need of a wonderfully caring team for your fur babies.

Dr. Rich has treated both of my dogs like they were her own. Before my one dog had his surgery, she explained to me in detail what would happen and kept me updated till she left the office late in the evening. She knew my little guy meant the world to me and followed up with me even days after his surgery. To this day, she still checks on him, with no appointment, if she has a moment when he is in the office. Dr. Rich answers all of my questions in full detail because she knows I care and want the best for my dogs. She never makes me feel like I am an annoyance and I never feel like she rushing me out until I feel comfortable with every detail. Dr. Rich is the best and she totally deserves to win this!!!!!!

Dr. Rich -- Nancy, is ever attentive to the needs of clients -- both the patient and the caretakers. Especially notable, she engages the 'pet parents' with good humor and personality. She is open, personable and caring. She provides information through out the clinic visit, keeping me informed about what she is considering. I can ask her questions and get good explanations. She also welcomes my advice and perspective on what is happening with my pet. Bottom line, though, is the clear recognition that she knows a lot about maladies and problems, treatments, medications and biological and pharmaceutical processes. She seems more knowledgeable than most, and willingly shares her knowledge and perspective. After listening to her description and explanation, I am often challenged to look into it more, to do my own research because she sparks my curiosity and interest. I want to know more, and be part of the process because she has broadened my understanding. A clinic session with Dr. Rich is a little bit like a vet science class. She openly discusses the different possibilities and options. But, it all goes beyond this. I have been dealing with pets with chronic illnesses. Dr. Rich has made herself available for consultation by email beyond clinic hours. I try to respect the limits on that because I know her time is limited, and she has many other clients. But, in a crisis, she is there! My Nomination, my Vote for Best Vet. Dr. Nancy Rich!

Dr. Rich has seen our dogs, cats, guinea pig, and rats. She is amazing with all of them, showing the same compassion, professionalism,skill, and understanding ( including with us when needed) with each visit. The animals adore her, as they feel how much she loves and respects each and every one, from the largest to the tiniest! She always loved how our rat would ride on her shoulders and hide in her pockets. She is a very special person and one of a kind! Thank you!

Nancy (along with the outstanding staff) goes beyond what many consider as just a VET....when she walks, our Buster gets all excited and she gets on the floor to play with him, putting him at ease...not only does she spend the time to discuss issues, but goes out of her way to explains in simple terms. She has called us at 9:30 at night to follow-up on concerns. Not only the best vet in Ohio, but has the love, patience and understanding of a Saint!! Also will explain ways to save $$$, which is rare.. If an RX is needed, they even match "online pricing" so more concerned about the animals health than profit!! Great Lady....and outstanding staff!!
