BEWARE!
After 2 years of patronizing, I will never bring my dog back again! I feel like the vet and staff are SCAM ARTISTS, condescending, and ultimately only care about MONEY at the expense of my dog and the client experience. There has never been a visit where the upfront price quote matched how much I actually paid.
I spent over $400 during my dog’s May 2020 annual exam to be invited back weeks later for a $60 booster shot.
Later in May, I take my dog for the booster shot visit. They handed me an intake form to sign. The document deceptively authorized additional costly services they wanted to do to my dog WITHOUT mentioning. They wrote my dog needs a physical exam (like two weeks prior) and consent to potentially sedate my dog. I said NO—the vet informed me he ONLY needs a $60 booster shot during my last visit. Therefore, I crossed out their penciled-in add-ons & continued to verbally decline the additional (unnecessary) services. They accept the paperwork, take my dog, and tell me it’ll be a couple hours.
When I go pick up my dog, much to my surprise they tell me I owe over $120!? She verbally attacked me, in an aggressive and curt tone, saying “I just told you the cost for you to pay.”
I’m assuming the office manager heard the employee’s uncivilized remarks & degrading attitude so the manger took over the conversation and removed the unauthorized charges from the invoice.
