We utilized this facility on Friday 1/27/23 and am sure glad we did. I wish I had gotten the Vet's name who treated our 10 year old cat, Roscoe. (She'll know who she is so) THANK YOU FOR HELPING ROSCOE! We arrived and the techs took him right back. They immediately gave him anxiety meds because he was having trouble breathing and was panicking because of that. They gave him oxygen and a scan revealed he had Plural Effusion and his lungs had filled with fluid. He was in very rough shape gasping for air out of the oxygen so they anesthetized him so when he had to be euthanized, he wouldn't be scared or upset. We were so grateful for their help. We were refused help at Northway Animal Hosp and wasted precious time there. Roscoe was given quality end of life care and for this we are more appreciative than words can say. To end his suffering quickly was all that mattered if he was beyond help. We wanted him comfortable and the compassion and care he was shown was wonderful. He came in wrapped up in a big fluffy blanket so my husband could hold him while he was put to sleep. She was amazing. I couldn't even see through my tears so all I can remember is your sweet face and nothing else. We were so traumatized as Roscoe had never been sick a day in his life and we we're losing him. Thank you again.

Dr. Gavin made my first vet experience SO easy. I was (obviously) very nervous and my dog had multiple things I wanted checked. She walked me through each issue step-by-step, made sure I understood her recommendation, and got my approval before doing anything beyond the initial examination. The process couldn't have been better considering. Dr. Gavin and the entire staff at Capital District were great - I will unequivocally recommend them to anyone needing veterinary care, and I will most definitely choose them the next time my pup needs anything.
