My best friend (and entire world) Monty, a 4 year old miniature schnauzer, was bitten by another dog on Independence Day. I took him to the 24/7 Emergency Vet Service at Cornell. Our vet was Emily Patton and she took such good care of my baby. I can’t say enough positive words about my experience at Cornell. Did I wait for hours? Yes, but it was all time that the veterinary staff needed to help my boy and make sure that he got the care he needed. Monty’s injuries (multiple puncture wounds) from the dog bite ended up being more extensive than they looked. I am forever grateful that I made the decision to take my baby to Cornell and get him the medical care he needed. Emily Patton was kind, compassionate, and showed incredible care for myself and Monty - despite working a long overnight on a holiday and being overwhelmed with cases coming through the door. A thousand thanks to Emily and all of the staff at Cornell that I didn’t meet directly, who I know were all working hard behind the scenes to keep my world spinning.
