We first met Dr. Schaedler when my autistic daughter's pet guinea pig became terminally ill. She was very compassionate when explaining to my child the necessity of euthanasia. She even called her later that night at home to see how she was handling the loss.My Golden Retriever, Bonnie, loves to eat things that are bad for her. Dr. Schaedler has helped Bonnie pass socks and tissues, while following their progress closely though the use of x-rays and barium, without having to resort to unnecessary surgery. When Bonnie was being examined for a torn dewclaw toenail, Dr. Schaedler listened to Bonnie's heart and heard an irregularity in her heartbeat. She pursued this with an EKG and determined that Bonnie was suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. She is now on heart medication and is responding well.On another recent visit, while Bonnie was getting her rabies booster, Dr. Schaedler noticed Bonnie's eye was red. Upon further examination, she was diagnosed with Pigmentary Uveitis, a painful eye disease. She is so thorough and has saved my dog's eyesight as well as her life. Dr. Schaedler is the most caring and conscientious vet I have ever encountered in the 38 years that I have been a pet owner. I always trust that if something is amiss with my pets, she will find, treat, and if possible, cure it.
