We first came across Dr Szacki during a very sad time when had to put our beloved cat to sleep. She struck us then as being extremely compassionate and not only a pet person, but a people person with great empathy. Since then, she has proven to be even more than that!Dr Szacki and Park Slope Veterinary Center are second to none. Not just in pet care, but also in the efforts they put in to helping the wealth of abandoned animals in NYC. Every week they have a new dog or cat they are trying to find a home for on their fantastic Facebook page.In fact, during a recent trip to St Maarten, Dr Szacki even found an abandoned puppy that she then rescued and brought back to Brooklyn for adoption. She never stops! Fast forward a couple of months after the passing of "Miss Cat" and we now have a new addition, Bubbles, who is also being looked after by Dr Szacki. Not only that, but one of our family members has also just given a forever home to a cat rescued by Dr Szacki - she makes those kinds of connections through her hard work and is helping save lives. Her positive work is a an example to all vets - simply the best!
