Dr Luckow is an expert in pet health. After my organ transplant Dr Luckow knew not only what I needed to do to keep our Jefferson safe but also what testing was needed to make sure I would be safe as well. We decided to add another rescue to our family but unfortunately after just 3 months our Carmela had to be put to sleep due to her malignant caner. It tore my heart apart to let her go and just before Dr Luckow was due to go on vacation, his office made special accommodations for Carmela so that I would have private time with her. His staff kept checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable and Dr Luckow was so gentle with her. I held her little paw as Dr Luckow eased her pain. I cried and Dr Luckow offered hugs and kind words. We are now ready to try again and rescue another little girl for Jefferson to play with and I look forward to Dr Luckow being her amazing doctor too. Dr Luckow explains everything in layman's terms and incorporates his own personal anecdotes to describe what's happening with your pet and how to map out effective strategies for keeping everyone in the family healthy. I am thrilled there is a caring and competent hospital right in our neighborhood that cares about the community, keeping costs down, with convenient hours and one on one phone time with the doctor.

She always shows love for the animals. No matter how busy she is always on the floor with your animal making them feel special. She genuinely cares about them. Nothing more needs to be said!!!

The reason that I know that my Vet is the best is because he not only cares about the pets but also takes the time to inform the pet parents he gives you a complete lesson on what ever the problems are, he is not in a rush to push you out of the office he makes sure you understand. He also has a Facebook page which lhe can give you everyday events but also alerts. He also has a morning half hour before office hours when you can call in if you have any concerns. He works with you he just doesn't do unnecessary treaments.

We adopted a rescue we named Jefferson last year and found a vet convenient to our home...We hit the Jackpot with Dr Scott Luckow who is extremely knowledgeable on animal health and human health and how they can affect each other. I am a lucky two time organ transplant recipient and Dr Luckow knew all of the tests we should do for Jefferson to make sure that Jefferson was healthy and that I would stay healthy too. He explains everything with patience and has a delightful sense of humor. He is gentle with his patients and provides a free website with tons of resources. Dr Luckow is available for telephone advice/triage twice daily in the mornings and again in the afternoons. This service alone helped us avoid an unnecessary visit while relieving my fears and saving us the cost of an appointment. The Broadway Animal Hospital of Riverdale has convenient office hours, and wonderful office and clinic staff "Mack" is a star assistant who handles Jefferson gently and distracts him when necessary. The Animal Hospital is open on Saturdays which is a huge plus. My Jefferson hates going to the vet but loves Dr Luckow!
