Hercky got hurt out in the backyard in the snow. I had to take him to the Dr. His usual vet was not able to see him so, I took him to BAH after my neighbor gave me the number, she was very happy with the treatment her dog had received after he had suffered the same type of injury in the snow two weeks prior. I called them and was given an immediate appointment. When we arrived Hercky was nervous. We were greeted by a very bubbly and friendly nurse, Hercky who was noticeably scared was immediately calm, Dr. P came out to meet me. He explained in detail everything that would happen and why. He showed me what I had to do for Hercky and made me understand the reasons why I had to take care of him and his injury in order for it to heal. They all made Hercky and myself feel very much at ease. After they took Hercky into the surgery, I was called in and was able to be with him. They did an amazing job! Every time we had to go back for checkups Hercky was excited as we pulled into the parking lot. As a result of this, I have decided to change my vet Dr. P will be taking care of both Hercky and Boo Boo (our cat). he's a good vet, he cares. I'm very thankful for that.

I changed veterinarian's in the midst of a critical diagnosis my dog, Petey was given. I didn't know what to expect but my best friend's dog was treated and cared for til her last day in a very special way by Dr. Polehinke and that is what my Petey needed. Well, I could not have asked for more! From the minute I scheduled the appointment I felt like this was were I was meant to have Petey cared for. Dr. Polehinke spent so much time with Petey and explained and taught me about his illness. Most of all, Dr. Polehinke didn't give up on Petey. He is so compassionate, intelligent and treated Petey with genuine concern and care.He returns my phone calls, always answers my crazy questions and goes above and beyond. My vet, Dr. Polehinke is the best!
