Compassion and expert care. We had two other dogs last year who both developed cancer and passed on, one dog, Bandit, who became sick in June and was gone two weeks later. The other dog, Hawk, passed on in November. Throughout both events Dr. Hess and his associates Dr. Asgar and Dr. McCaffrey did all they could professionally to help and comfort our dogs. When treatment required more complex facilities, they cooperated completely with the Doctors there. Meanwhile they never forgot how hard the process was mentally for my wife and myself, checking in with us and helping us understand the process of treatment the dogs were undergoing. Finally soon after each dog passed on, we received a card in the mail signed by the Doctors and the entire hospital staff sharing in our grief, and noting that a donation had been made in each dogs name to help find a cure for other animals. We will never forget OT V's love and humanity. Both of our new dogs go to OT V because we know that not only will they get excellent medical oversite, but also loving, concerned care. (all of our dogs have been dogs we've adopted via Springer Spaniel Rescue)
