Both of these vets care more about the animals that come in their office, than they do the money. They would probably give free service if they could, this is how genuine they are about their careers. When my ailing cat Polly was in her last months, they went above and beyond to treat her. The gave her the best of care, for the least amount of money--most of it complimentary things they do for all people. They called regularly to check in on her, even on the weekends. They had her best intentions at heart, at all times, and were concerned with her quality of life, just as I was. When the time came to put her down, they informed they only do the procedures in the afternoon, when the clinic is less noisy and busy. This is such a kind, considerate, and thoughtful provision they have in place. Dr. Parks told me what to expect once it was done, and stayed with me as long as I wanted. She put herself at my disposal in any way that would help comfort me. A few weeks later, I received a card in the mail. Dr. Selig had made a donation in Polly's name to a college veterinary school. I was so touched. I don't cry, but that made me tear up. I endlessly express my gratitude to these caring professionals. This award would be the ultimate 'thank you' to them.

Dr. Rich Nancy, is ever attentive to the needs of clients both the patient and the caretakers. Especially notable, she engages the 'pet parents' with good humor and personality. She is open, personable and caring. She provides information through out the clinic visit, keeping me informed about what she is considering. I can ask her questions and get good explanations. She also welcomes my advice and perspective on what is happening with my pet. Bottom line, though, is the clear recognition that she knows a lot about maladies and problems, treatments, medications and biological and pharmaceutical processes. She seems more knowledgeable than most, and willingly shares her knowledge and perspective. After listening to her description and explanation, I am often challenged to look into it more, to do my own research because she sparks my curiosity and interest. I want to know more, and be part of the process because she has broadened my understanding. A clinic session with Dr. Rich is a little bit like a vet science class. She openly discusses the different possibilities and options. But, it all goes beyond this. I have been dealing with pets with chronic illnesses. Dr. Rich has made herself available for consultation by email beyond clinic hours. I try to respect the limits on that because I know her time is limited, and she has many other clients. But, in a crisis, she is there! My Nomination, my Vote for Best Vet. Dr. Nancy Rich!
