I’ve owned dogs my entire adult life and have never run across a more collaborative group of veterinarians and caring, engaging veterinary staff than at VCA Standish Animal Hospital. Their response to your pet concerns are prompt and reliable. They always engage you as the pet owner in care decisions, and I particularly appreciate that they respect my level of assessment of my dog. Their follow up to care or procedures for your pet is remarkable. They have always reached out by phone to check on my girl and how she is doing after being seen. Hands down the best veterinary care that I have ever experienced!

"Lara Baxter" Does not have the education levels or competence to realize your dog is living with cancer. This facility ignored or just couldn't figure out that my dog was living with cancer after multiple visits for the same ill feelings he was having. Nickle and diming me for random unrelated services, tests the whole time (2years) while my boy suffered. Lucky for us they couldn't see him last week, so I went to Petmedic in Portland to find out he was ready to bleed out and die from hemangiosarcoma on his spleen that has been growing for an unknown amount of time. They kept diagnosing him with Cushing disease and other liver issues wanting to pump him full of meds unrelated to the cancer that they never found or even knew about. ...
...They DONT EVEN HAVE THE PROPER EQUIPMENT to diagnose cancer!!! as simple as an ultrasound. This is directly from the manager Sue. Just Go elsewhere. Please 🙏
