Bethany Centennial Animal Hospital has cost us much more than any other veterinary practice. If you are curious for yourself, call around to your other local vets. You will find that the same procedures, exams, etc., cost much less at other vets. This animal hospital is notorious for recommending unnecessary tests and procedures in order to gain more financially. This is well-known in the community as I have learned after asking around. Additionally, they have quoted us incorrect amounts prior to procedures, and then provided us with a much higher bill after the procedure.
In terms of general admin and office abilities, expect long wait times. We have never gone in when our appointment time was scheduled for due to long wait times. Once you do get started, appointments take a long time as well, and it seems this is due to short staffing. You will also find their hours have fluctuated due to staffing issues as well, making them an unreliable office to trust for your pets needs.
In terms of the front desk staff, Vivien in particular is very unpleasant to work with. She is hostile in her approach, passive aggressive, and inconsistent in her discussions and thoughts. Her personality, demeanor, and ability to apply logic make her very difficult to work with, even if you have your facts straight.

My vet is wonderful. I have been going to him for over 20 years. He genuinely cares for my pets. He takes the time to talk to them and me. He loves his work, and the animals and families he serves. He and his staff help lost and helpless animals which are left on their doorstep. I recommend him to all of my friends. I feel safe knowing that my animals are the care of Dr. Heir.
