Dr Calahan is a vet who makes my dogs, and me, comfortable in his clinic patient rooms. He is great about getting to know his patients and their owners. He's certainly not at all shy about saying what needs to be said! I was in with one of my Standard Poodles recently and he noticed the top of her tail needed a trim and promptly got his clippers and took care of it!! I appreciate that Dr Calahan looks at the needs of the pets and the sensitivity of the owners. He recently operated on the same dog to remove two mammary tumors on my older female and was very forthright about every aspect of the surgery, telling me later that the tumors were cancerous. I can trust that he will do all that he can to insure that my two dogs and I will have the best care and advice without forcing any decisions. It is quite easy to see that Dr Calahan loves his work. We are so glad to have him as our Vet!

She’s always sweet to my pups, polite, gives great advice, and listens to me about my concerns for my pups. I definitely trust those at South Shreveport Animal Hospital with my four legged children.
