Our old vet used to be afraid of our German Shepard Madison, so we asked our trainer what vet she used. She referred us to Dr. Zollanger (Dr. Z). Dr. Z has 2 Shepard’s of her own so she was "comfortable" with our dog’s temperament. She also helps us when it comes to give shots/take blood from Madison by informing us on how to control her. Even with our dog attempting to bite the vet techs (thankfully we've always used a muzzle) or lunging at Dr. Z they're still willing to work with us and help create a "relaxing" atmosphere by waiting until Madison calms back down before continuing on with the exam. They were even willing to keep her with them for x-rays without hesitation, and claimed she was a sweetheart when we left. Dr. Z has been great with our pup and we couldn't have asked for a better vet. We would definitely recommend them to anyone especially since our dog is so temperamental and if they can handle her, they can handle anyone.
