Stephanie has an enormous passion for caring for animals. She is a member of the Lucky Star Cavalier rescue and when not working at her Veterinary Hospital she is finding homes for orphaned animals, not to mention making them healthy too! She equally cares about the parents of her animals by being available for our questions and concerns and always takes time to visit with us during our appointments. She had a wonderful staff and the team provides exemplary customer service at all times. Stephanie is the best! I am very excited to nominate her for this award!

My baby, Skeeter, was on deaths door 3 times. The first time Dr Rachel saved him he was down to 8 pounds and very lethargic. I called the office at 7:03am one day. They had me bring him in immediately. Dr ran blood work and told me she had a hunch he had diabetes. He, also, had a oral infection. She gave him antibiotics and pain meds. She called me the next day to check on him. Her thoughts were confirmed about the diabetes and had me bring him in to give him some insulin. We started him on vetsulin. All was well for a month. Skeeter got sick, again. She had me bring him in immediately. His body became immune to the vetsulin. She had to switch gears and put him on glargine. Miracle insulin! All was well for 3 weeks... this time it was not the insulin. He stopped eating. Dr Kuhn said this can happen with older diabetic cats. She has him now on a biweekly regiment of Adequan and B12 injections. We have done this for 2.5 years and I have an almost 17 yr old kitten! He is back up to 11lbs. He is running and jumping like he was 2! He has a younger brother, Jasper, who loves Dr Kuhn. Jasper loves play days at her office. He has many friends he can run, jump and kiss! She has the best staff helping her, too! Thank you so much Dr Kuhn!

As a volunteer for Cavalier Rescue, she pursued a veterinarian degree to help all animals. She is a devoted Vet to animals of all walks....dogs, cats, foxes, ducks, rabbits....etc. But most of all her heart belongs to rescue, all rescues. She donates an abundance of time and skill to the rescue world. When Gatlinburg TN. burned, last fall, she was one of the first Vets, with her team, on the scene. They worked endlessly the help any animal in need.....for weeks. She is also forever studying and staying on top of the new break throughs , in modern and natural medicine. Dr. Hickey does a wonderful job of mixing the two to find what works best for her clients. Her main concern, at all times, is what is in the best interest of the animals....If it's a pill, it's a pill. If it's a carrot, it's a carrot. She's a straight shooter and has all the kindness in the world, when she tells you your pet needs "XYZ" And has no problem referring you and your pet to a second opinion. in fact, she is very welcoming of them. Her and her team are real go getters and are extremely excited to further their education. They are constantly looking for better ways to serve their clients and education is always their priority. Dr. Hickey is one of the most giving people I know. I have no doubt, most of her clients have no clue how much she does for rescue.

She goes above and beyond for all her clients! She saved Skeeter's life 3 times. She diagnosed him with diabetes November 2014. She started him on vetsulin. He did ok at first on it. January 2nd 2015, Skeeter stopped eating and going potty. She had me bring him in immediately. She helped him. About 1 month later he stopped responding to the vetsulin. She switched him to glargine. She, also, recommended that I start him on baby food. He had lost some weight and we needed to add protein to his diet. He gained the few pounds he lost and has maintained it for over a year! We do biweekly injections of B12 and adequan(arthritis) to help Skeeter make it to his 17th birthday! He turned 16 on March 31, 2016! Picture of Skeeter is attached. Jasper is a 4 month old Shichon. He is healthy happy boy. Jasper loves Dr Rachel!

There is not enough nice things I can say about Dr. Siegel! When my previous Great Dane Ms. Thang who was 12 1/2 years old started to have hip problems I searched for a vet that did house calls as I knew it would be an almost impossible task to drive my Dane to a vet. This is where I found Dr. Seigel and her Concierge Mobile Animal Hospital. She was amazing & I knew she would our "go to" vet from here on out. When Ms. Thang got very ill and I knew she was ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge Dr. Siegal and her assistant Kat went above and beyond to answer any questions I had and comfort me. A few months after Ms. Thang passed I got a new Great Dane named Wednesday Addams. Being the inquisitive pup that she is she somehow managed to get a fox tail in her neck which turned into a huge infection and required a minor surgery. Dr. Seigel did an excellent job removing the fox tail and fixing Wednesday up. Wednesday did have a few mishaps in healing and I had to go out of town for a week and left Wednesday with my brother. Dr. Seigel came over TWO TIMES complimentary to help my brother and check on Wednesday as well as phoned and texted me to give me updates on Wednesday. I am so grateful I found Dr. Seigel and tell every pet owner I know about her!
