Dr. McDonald had just joined the Northbrook Animal Clinic when Scruff was diagnosed with diabetes. That was well before the pandemic. Her interest in his care led to her certification to administer Freestyle Libre monitoring for Scruff and other cats in her practice, as well as her continued research in feline veterinary care.
Scruff recently showed signs of an arthritic condition that Dr. McDonald suggested might benefit from another (like the Freestyle Libre monitor, a human drug that's been approved for feline uses) for osteoarthritis. Between Pet'sBest pet insurance and Dr. McDonald's diligent research, Scruff is now entering his "golden years" a very happy, definitely healthy cat!
Of course I'm pleased with Dr. McDonald's care of my pet. What makes her exemplary is her interest in continually researching and exploring care options. She is the best.
