i have been going to Dr John since 1996 through four dogs. I have always trusted his opinion and his care for my dogs. He gives the care needed and no more.

Dr. Cheung is compassionate, both for the animals and for the owners. When my 15-year-old cat, Tummy, became seriously ill, she called other veterinarians to get an idea of what could be the cause of his problem rather than just subjecting him to costly and invasive tests. She has worked with me on how to humanely care for Tummy, acknowledging that spending lots of money without a guaranteed outcome may not be the best approach for Tummy or me. She has made it clear that her goal is to try to get the cat a comfortable life. I have worked with other veterinarians whose goal, it appeared, was to use the most expensive procedures possible, with little regard as to how they might affect the animal or the owner. With Dr. Cheung, I feel that both the cat's and my best interests are always the first consideration.
