My Maine Coon 10 yr old kitty was 'feeling" lighter to me-she was due for annual "wellness" exam in Feb-2013-seeing her "beloved" Dr Hoffman, he is so gentle, kind-compassionate with handling 'frightened" kitties-her Wt had dropped 1#-being concerned-he advised "blood work", suspecting Thyroid disease. this proved correct-she had Hyperthyroid disease-He called me, next day-being so compasionate over the phone-giving me a "web" site to read all about this diease,the "options" of treatment-not imposing his "ideas", and letting me choose the best I felt-I needed to do for my Heidi. I chose the Iodine Rx-then I found local clinics who do this specialized care.Dr Huffman-told me of another option-directing me-to a vet-clinic-30 miles away. I appreciated his concern for saving me "big $$$" over the costs of local clinic's with exact same treatment. Being that the iodine therapy was over $1300 at local clinic's-Dr Hoffman proved to me-he loves serving his "pet clients" and their 'owners"- and wanting to give best possible service-with the "best outcomes" for all-and 'thinking of the 'costs" involved!! Because of his concern-I saved $400-and my Heidi is doing very well and totally recovered!!
