Matt Harsch is an outstanding veterinarian who helped our dogs go from geriatric hopelessness to the best they could be for their age. In particular, our Dodger (big white beautiful and gentle being) was collapsing his hind legs when he stood for more that a few seconds and was having trouble just existing. Despite conflicting lab reports, he had a hunch that Dodger might suffer from thyroid issues and encouraged us to try medication that "could improve Dodger's quality of life dramatically." He was 100% correct !!!
In a matter of days we saw an incredible recovery of weakness turned to strength and despair turned to confidence. Our proud snow white prince is able to stand and lay down without hesitation, weakness or distress and can run with me without issue. Most veterinarians are great people doing incredible things. They work hard and do a better job than human doctors in many instances. I have had many dogs over the years but never a caregiver like Dr. Harsch. If I sound amazed, it's because I am. He has cared for both of our dogs who we love more than I can say. He understands this level of emotion and engagement. For most people he is Dr. Matt Harsch. But when I say to my wife that our dog needs to see "Superman," she knows exactly what I mean. He is the epitome of "super" veterinary care.
