My dog was hit by a truck right in front of our house on a Wednesday night. We rushed her to the emergency vet. Luckily, she only broke her leg, and the veterinarian there said she might not need surgery, but I needed a second opinion. My regular veterinarian wasn’t in at all on Thursday, so I called Winter Park Veterinary, and Dr. Hellenga saw Khaleesi right away They were kind and gentle, took Khaleesi in on a stretcher, and Dr. Hellenga confirmed that given the kind of break she would need surgery right away. They charged me a minimal consultation fee, and Dr. Hellnga gave me a big hug on the way. Nothing could’ve been more reassuring during such a stressful time. The next day Khaleesi had surgery at a special surgical facility, and she’s done great, thanks to the kindness and generosity of the staff at Winter Park Veterinary.
