My very special vet, Dr. McKinney , works for love and charges very low prices for many, many years. Not a fancy office, but clean and adequate,. He attracts clients who speak English, Spanish or Creole, treats everyone with great respect and makes sure they understand the diagnosis. He does not advertise, and doesn't need to, it's always busy, because he's the best and word of mouth is the greatest form of advertising! He is soft spoken and talks to the animal calmly as he examines it. He's cured my dogs and cats of many ailments. His affordable prices have helped people to take care of their pets when it might otherwise have been financially impossible. I've been bringing my pets to Dr. McKinney for over 25 years,! A true lover of his life's work, I hope he doesn't retire any time soon as there will never be another neighborhood vet like him.

I brought Bronte (my 6 year old cat)in with, what I thought was a problem with her back leg. Dr. Frank was slammed (as he is known in this area as the cat whisperer) and he took his time with both me and Bronte. Turns out she was improperly treated by one of the 12 year old "nurses" at Banfield in Coral Springs and it caused an infection in her anal glands. When taking xrays Dr. Frank noticed that she had a bladder stone on top of everything else. He was gentle with her and so incredibly supportive and generous with his very precious time. He called me (not one of his staff) the day after Bronte was seen to make sure that she was on the mend and took all of my frantic calls throughout the following week when her bowels movements were sporadic or she wouldn't take her pills or eat the Laxatone. She is well on her way to mending and thankfully there are independent vets like Dr. Frank who got into the field because they love animals and not to make a buck like Banfield and their 12 year old "nurses".
