I brought Bronte (my 6 year old cat)in with, what I thought was a problem with her back leg. Dr. Frank was slammed (as he is known in this area as the cat whisperer) and he took his time with both me and Bronte. Turns out she was improperly treated by one of the 12 year old "nurses" at Banfield in Coral Springs and it caused an infection in her anal glands. When taking x-rays Dr. Frank noticed that she had a bladder stone on top of everything else. He was gentle with her and so incredibly supportive and generous with his very precious time. He called me (not one of his staff) the day after Bronte was seen to make sure that she was on the mend and took all of my frantic calls throughout the following week when her bowels movements were sporadic or she wouldn't take her pills or eat the Laxatone. She is well on her way to mending and thankfully there are independent vets like Dr. Frank who got into the field because they love animals and not to make a buck like Banfield and their 12 year old "nurses".

I originally learned about Riverbridge because a local dog rescue organization, A Second Chance, told me to go there when I was fostering my dog Harlowe (which I eventually adopted). My dog Brandi was congested and was making strange noises . I called Riverbridge and the receptionist told me to immediately come in, even though I had no appt. I had tried to go to a closer vet near my home and was told that they wouldn't make the time to see Brandi!! Dr. Oquist at Riverbridge was very thorough and took her time when examining Brandi (even though it was past their closing time) and even took x rays to rule out a serious condition. She personally called me the following day to reassure me that the meds prescribed would help and that the xrays were normal. The entire staff at Riverbridge are so compassionate and very loving.

In the middle of the night, Paprika was chasing Cinnamon (my 2 cats). Once Cinnamon had stopped playing, Paprika wanted to get her attention. Paprika jumped in the air (just as cats do in cartoons) with all four legs off the ground, at once. Except this time he was off of a glass table and when he landed the glass shattered everywhere. And there was blood everywhere. He didn't know where to run to first and hide.It was a LONG night. Once morning came I called Dr. Frank's office and filled them in and they told me to come in, right away.Dr. Frank took Paprika into the back room with an assistant, then he called for another assistant and then he called the receptionist to help. I'm sure he would have asked for someone else if there was anyone in the office. Paprika just would not cooperate. He had one large cut right up to the bone in his back leg. Dr. Frank was finally able to control the bleeding from that one and all of the smaller cuts. He then medicated Paperika enough for him to sleep for the remainder of the day and through the night, at the doctors office. He called me several times through the day to let me know that he was resting comfortably. The next morning he called and said Paprika can go home if I can separate the 2 cats until he heals. Dr. Frank is super in my book...the assistants too.

He is very compassionate along with his entire office staff. He is constantly saving animals lives along with A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue. I won't take my dogs anywhere else.https://www.facebook.com/pages/RiverBridgeAnimalHospitalDrStuartEFox/128983197132412
