Everyone in the office is so sweet and caring. They treat our pets like their own and it puts all of my worries to rest because they love them as much as I do. They have always gone above and beyond to make sure my pets are taken care of and have been a great support for me as well. By far the best vet I’ve ever been to.

When I saw 'My Vet's the Best National Contest', I knew that I had to nominate my veterinarian, Dr. Angela Holcombe for the best vet title. My experience with Dr. Holcombe began shortly after my wife and I brought a young boxer puppy named Reese in to our home. Unfortunately, at about six months old, Reese suddenly broke out in hives over his entire body. Hence, I took him to Dr. Holcombe immediately, and she reassured me that this was not life threatening and together we would get to the cause. Dr. Holcombe, asked me several questions about Reese and his daily habits, and with that information she recommended that we perform a blood test to determine if Reese was allergic to anything in his environment. In this case, the results from the lab indicated that Reese was allergic to all kinds of grasses and a variety of trees. Therefore, Dr. Holcombe recommended that we begin an immunotherapy treatment that would involve giving Reese allergy injections. Thankfully, Reese has responded well to the treatment and has had only a few mild recurrences. In closing, this is only one example of how Dr. Holcombe has helped my pets over the years. Lastly, Dr. Holcombe also travels the community on barn calls to help treat horses, goats and other large animals that cannot make it to the clinic for treatment. Finally, Dr. Holcombe and her practice support the Veterinary Care Foundation, K9 Battle Buddies, One Love Animal Rescue, and Coastal Pet Rescue.

The office is like a cozy home not a cold vet office. No cubicles. Small dogs she puts on her lap to examine them. Dr. Chris takes a lot of time with each pet and thoroughly explains everything. All the dogs love her.She also makes house calls for large animals in the area which is much needed.
