I cannot say enough wonderful things about Desoto Animal Clinic (DAC) and the exceptional care they provide. From the moment I first walked through their doors, they treated Tucker and me like family. Tucker, my energetic and lovable dog, has faced his share of health challenges, and DAC’s team has been incredible every step of the way. Their expertise, compassion, and attention to detail have been a constant source of comfort. Whether diagnosing an issue or guiding me through his care plan, they always ensured I felt informed and supported.
Their kindness goes far beyond routine care. When my first dog, Oliver, reached the end of his journey, I was heartbroken and unsure how to navigate such a difficult decision. The staff at DAC were incredibly compassionate, allowing me to grieve while ensuring Oliver received the dignity and peace he deserved. In one of the hardest moments of my life, they created a space of love and understanding, which I will never forget.
It’s rare to find a veterinary team so deeply invested in their patients and the people who love them. DAC truly embodies the heart of our community, going above and beyond to ensure pets like Tucker and Oliver receive the best care possible. Recognizing them with this award would celebrate their dedication and help them continue supporting pets in need.

Dr. Heusi was awesome with Tucker today. I have been a client for years but this was Tucker’s first visit and he left so happy. The staff here at Desoto care deeply about our fur kids and I always leave knowing we got top tier service. Thank you so much for everything!

I have brought my dogs here for almost three years. Many incidents and many surgeries. I have spent 3,000 on ER side AND 3,000 on desoto side (same owners). Note this was all straight out of pocket. No monthly payments! I was there Monday the 23rd of July, 2018 for 12 minutes exactly before my dog passed suddenly. She was alive as we rushed her there after collapsing at home. They charged my boyfriend $375 for this 12 minute visit while I’m in the corner crying & trying to pick myself up off the ground with my dead dog in my arms. When I heard they did this we called for a refund and to ask if they felt this was truly right in their hearts to do that to someone. They were very rude and of course would not refund. The owner said “I have no need for customer satisfaction in this case”... They are all about money and I don’t think they did everything they could to save my little girl. Ashley the owner would not call us back for at least a week, we had to call multiple times! NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!! My heart is broken and these types of people are ruining the world.

Dr. Trice is a very caring Veterinarian. She takes a genuine personal interest in the heath and quality of life of my two male Yorkies. One of my pets, Franky, was injured in an accident earlier this year. Dr. Trice gave Franky her immediate attention on an emergency basis and was very thorough in diagnosing his injury and assuring that nothing was overlooked. After Franky's initial examination, Dr. Trice continued to follow up with me on Franky's progress until he was fully recovered. I always ask for Dr. Trice to provide Rocky's and Franky's annual wellness exams. She is very thorough in tracking their health histories and providing very detailed reports and recommendations for their continued care. I greatly appreciate and have complete confidence in her recommendations, and make sure my pets remain current on their immunizations and medications. Franky just turned 6 years of age and is very happy, frisky and playful. Rocky just turned 14 years of age. He received his annual wellness examination by Dr. Trice two weeks ago, which he passed with flying colors. Rocky is also a very happy, playful and active pet, particularly so for his age, and I attribute his excellent health to the exceptionally professional care he receives from Dr. Trice. In addition to being an outstanding Veterinarian, Dr. Trice is a very personable individual who listens very carefully, responds thoroughly to questions, and instills a feeling of confidence to me as a pet owner that she truly cares about my "boys."

Dr Tanko, is the most caring veterinarian I have ever met in my life. We had a litter of Rottweiler puppies that came down with parvo and the man was basically there round the clock to take care of them we had a puppy ICU in the house and Dr Tanko went above and beyond to try to save as many of these puppies as he could and out of 10 I believe we saved 6. I completely trust him and his intelligence with any animal ever the man is unbelievably compassionate, caring, and he doesn't try to do a lot of stupid things to waste your money, that's the best part.

Simba's Dr. he is such a gentle man. He takes the time to discuss matter about your animal. If you have any questions about any bloodwork, exrays food or shots he takes the time to go over everything to make sure that you understand the problem/solution to your question. I would highly reccomend his services to anyone that would ask. No better place that I would go to..And if there is any problems he is on call. He deserves a star/medal etc.
