After taking such good care of my 15 year old dog Bing for the last 8 years, Dr. Andrew Jauquet of Newport Animal Hospital in Bonita Speings, Florida, was perplexed by a sudden onset disease that struck our highly active Jack Russell in his lungs and eventually, his heart. He tried everything for two months to determine the cause. Last night, after fighting a losing battle against this horrible disease, our Bing suffered a collapse, his breathing labored. Dr Jauquet came in on his Saturday day off to send or boy home, and is doing a research autopsy to determine the cause so he can help other dogs, including our two other Jack’s, Amelia, Bing’s mate, and Cammy, his daughter. Dr. Jauquet is the most dedicated, knowledgeable, and kindest vet I’ve ever known. His dedication and drive are remarkable, and he has gone above and beyond for all my dogs over the years. God bless him.

We were referred for an ultrasound which was traumatic with two techs holding down my cat. Dr. Andrew told me it was probably cancer. He became irate when I asked him what type of cancer cat’s got and began a tirade on how bad human medicine is. Three months later, another vet correctly diagnosed my cat with a congenital abnormality. It took half the time and half the cost. There was no cancer. If you offer a service, best to be competent and know how to interpret the results or refer to an expert.
