The first time we went there, it was because our previous Vet was entirely unhelpful. They allowed us to come on the spot and helped with a very complicated situation and decision. We switched Vets immediately. The practitioners are kind, empathetic and patient. More recently (the first time was two plus years ago) our 9 year old dog had developed a serious limp. Again, they got us in quickly and were thorough and kind throughout the process. After seeing her, doing blood work, etc. they gave us a prescription and within 3 days she was back to herself. We think the LItchfield Hospital Vet team is excellent and highly recommend them. (The first situation noted above was that we had lost a young kitten and found a cat we thought was him but turned out not to be based on the practice's exam of him. They treated what turned out to be a stray cat with dignity and compassion. He was older and turned out to have FIV, so could not be returned to the pace outdoors where we found him - he was also feral. We were very upset because he had to be euthanized. The team was very understanding and charged us very little to put our sad street cat down. This is what we consider above and beyond the call of duty.
