I have taken my pets to Guilford Vet for over 30 years. They are excellent and go the extra mile. When one of our cats suddenly became ill, they stayed until we arrived with him, even though we live 40 minutes away and it was just before closing when we called. They have always been honest and empathetic. Everyone - doctors, techs and folks at the front desk are all kind and caring people.

Being a struggling single mom, my two (2) sons and I fostered several Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation German Shepherd puppies so the boys would have a dog. Our first little girl pup, Nemba, returned to our home as a "career adjustment," thus my boys had their dog. Nemba was the surrogate mom to every pup in our home thereafter. Then our fifth pup, Yani, was epileptic, unable to guide, so we chose to incur the expense to keep him. Dr. Pixton assisted our decisions in caring for our puppies with patience, respect, compassion, and genuine care. Yani also developed fiber response gastrointestinal issues, allergies, and recently thyroid, thus the need for pet insurance. My USMC son passed in November 2012. Then his girl, Nemba @ 11 yrs , had a bout with cancer May of 2013, the wonderful veterinarians assisted me in making decisions, patiently explaining surgical procedures to remove her spleen, giving her six (6) months of quality life for Yani and I to share with her, until the day before Thanksgiving, a week after her boy's angelversary when Dr. Pixton compassionately, and lovingly assisted Nemba in crossing to the Rainbow Bridge, supporting me with the final decision. Yani is now therapy trained and has been my rock, I thank God for having the wisdom and compassion of Dr. Pixton to rely on for the care of my loyal, unconditionally loving companion. I now don't know what I'd do without Dr. Pixton to care for Yani.

1st she saved Bella when she was just a 2 lbs puppy, she took her home and gave her 24hr care till she was out of danger. 2nd she is always listens and gives your pets the best care, she will follow up with you on everything, and regularly checks up after you have had your pets in for anything. She truely cares about her patients and their owners. I would travel anywhere to make sure my pets are under her care.
