They have wonderful vets there, there are more of them there now, but I used to always go to Kenneth Smith. I see others also now since he is usually busy. But he's always been a good vet and takes good care of the animals. He's very thorough in his checking for problems with things. My dog has allergies and he recommended a pet dermatologist in Colorado Springs, but I still go to him for other things. I really like all the staff at the Small Animal Clinic, they are all good and friendly people.

Dr. Lindberg is an amazing ER veterinarian and friend. Even though she is a recent graduate, she has the calm and confidence of a veterinarian who has been practicing for years. Her intelligence and keen attention to detail allow her to piece together all the parts of a case to provide the best treatment possible. Whether I have a silly question about one of my pets or a complicated medical question that needs clarification, I always seek her out. She spends time with every client to make sure their concerns are heard and needs are met, no matter how big or small the problem is. Honestly, she treats every patient as though they were her own pet. If a critical patient improves or declines, she rejoices or suffers with the owners. I have seen her called in the middle of a restaurant brunch on a day off to come in and help with a crazy busy work day, and she gave her assistance with no complaint. If I had an emergency with any of my pets, I know she'd offer her help and emotional support without a second thought. She is truly a special doctor who makes you remember why you work in veterinary medicine in the first place.

I came to know Ken Smith DVM, a 3rd generation veterinarian, 5 years ago when Molly, my neighbor girls Beagle slipped out of the fence and was hit by a car. I was home on my lunch break. I rushed Molly to the closest clinic. He operated on a toe, and broken leg that had also been pulled out of the hip socket. He advised that her agility career was over. He did not know any of us and did this for Molly no questioned asked. A couple years later I rushed my 13YO Golden into his clinic. She had eaten a stuffed toy that had stuck in her intestinal track. She survived and lived a good life for another 3 years. I have Molly's daughter Dolly. She is also an agility dog. She'd started carrying a leg intermitantly. Friends in the agility community recommended a Vet they knew in another town. The Vet sent me to Dr. Ken Smith for surgery 'best there is'. Dr. Smith said no surgery, therapy instead. Blondie is gone now. Molly has returned to agility. Molly and Dolly are both working on a agility championship. Dr. Smith is very down to earth. He tells it like it is. The clinic he heads is involved in a lot of charity work around our small town. So glad we found him on that day years ago

I love his honesty. He told us what we needed to hear about one of our sick dogs many years ago. He is matter of fact, doesn't talk in "vet language", but so we understand what he is saying, and never made to feel ignorant. Dr. Tim spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me going over options for our Lab, on whether it was cheaper for us to feed her the special dog food, or use the medication. He even went out in his storage to check the price and calculated which would be the better way to go. When our young Lab was having knee issues, he set her up with one vet on the west coast that specialized in the surgery she needed, which gave her an active life again. He is wonderful, and we have referred many pet lovers to him who are also glad he is here for our beloved pets. Dr. Tim CARES about his patients, it shows in his clinic and his employees.
