Two years ago my eleven year old Siberian Husky, Pikachu, began to slow down. I believed that she was jsut getting old. I took her into our veterinarian for her Senior exam. The lab results came back with an elevated Calcium level. We retested as sugested by Dr Waskow. The results were the same. Dr Wos gave me a range of potential issues, from the simplest cause to the most serious. At his suggestion I opted for another more intensive blood test. The results came back indicating the possiblity of Lymphoma. A follow up ultrasound confirmed masses on her thyroid. I had thought my dog was just slowing down to old age. To find out that my girl was so sick was devastating. Dr Waskow went out of his way to contact and question surgeons to help me find someone reliable and within my finacial needs.Two surgeries later my girl came home a new dog. She was active and hungry for the first time in months. We were both happy. Pikachu was with me another 2 years before another brush with cancer took her from us. Two extra full years of happiness with my girl was a blessing. All because of the tiniest finding on a blood test and an Doctor who was willing to investigate all possibilies and help beyond all expectations. He never gave up on her. I thank Dr. Waskow for our blessing.
