These ladies run a small practice yet find the time and resources to provide care for homeless animals that come to them from several rescue groups. I once saw them while they were providing free heartworm treatment for 3 dogs brought in from the same area. All three were young, sweet, severely underweight and suffered from horrible neglect. They hospitalized them from start to finish, provided care, training, love and support all on the hospitals dime. They are truly in their profession because they love animals and constantly go above and beyond for the animal residents in a lower income area. They have saved Dirkas life once and I trust them with any future pets care as long as they are in practice. They speak to you in clear terms and make sure you understand what is best for your pets health and well being. I feel like they see their patients as family members, treating all with respect and love, as if it were their own beloved pet.

Tiffany passed in 2010 due to congestive heart failure. Actually Dr. Brown and I had to make the hardest decision to put her out of her hurting. He spent endless time and energy to keep her with us for 3 years. He trid every medication and care for her to keep her comfortable. She was the first of 5 of my pets (4 dogs, 1 cat) he has and is caring for. I have lost three of them since 2007. Two young dogs he is taking care of. He is compassionate, efficient and loving with all of his little patients. I dread the day he decides to retire. My dogs are at ease with him due to his genteleness and caring. I trust him explicitly with my little family.

When my previous dog was a 7 month old puppy I was shocked when my sweet boy tried to eat the 1st vet we saw. I decided I needed a different vet. Dr. Vicuna was recommended by the Humane Society. I was told that he had been the one to do my pup's neuter as he regularly volunteered his time to help. When meeting Dr. Vicuna for the first time, instead of growling and snapping, the dog was licking the vet's face! His genuine care for his patients is obvious to all.

He is a very compassionate doctor, and he loves his animals. Hes got posters all over his clinic, with photos of his clients pets. Hes very honest with his clients about the health care needed for their pets, and whether its surgery, medication, or euthanisia, hes very caring and honest about how to handle it best, for the pet! Hes a really nice guy, and a GREAT doctor of veterinary medicine.
