From our first visit, I was impressed by the quiet, squeaky-clean atmosphere of the office, the white shag rug on the exam room floors - on which Dr. Reid sits to examine Moxie - and her knowledge, holistic perspective, attention to detail, and an abiding patience that keeps anxiety (on the part of my dog and myself!)at bay. Upon arrival we are escorted to an exam room, meaning no trembling, fearful dog (In fact, I've only actually seen another dog in the office on two occasions!), and the wait time has been minimal. There are blinds on the exam room doors and, instead of trying to run and hide from her, Moxie actually greets Dr. Reid with tail wagging as she walks in! Also appreciated are prompt return phone calls, even when the office is closed, and the effort to fit us in for what seemed like an emergency at the time. Moxie has serious allergy issues and I was delighted to explore alternatives to the daily injections we had just begun - and to work with Dr. Reid using acupuncture and Chinese herbs to relieve Moxie's symptoms (and get rid of the skin problems that developed as a reaction to the injections)! Most appreciated, though, is Dr. Reid's flexibility and good-natured guidance through our issues. We've found a supplement that works really well for Moxie, in combination with a child-sized dose of antihistamine, as needed throughout allergy season.Dr. Reid gets five WOOFS and a boatload of gratitude from us!
