Molly Louise, my working Therapy Dog, had just been diagnosed with liver cancer and referred to UCD. They operated and found the lesion to be to dificult to reach. They told me she had about two weeks to live, and advised I put her down. I chose to let her die at home, and in my truly overwhelming grief, I somehow found Dr. Raymeond's ad. in the phone book, saying that he practiced both Eastern and Wensern medicine.This began a long journey of 17 months, filled with every emotion I have ever felt, each to the extent that I was capable of feeling. Besides me, Molly Louise was loved by many, many patients at County Mentakl Health. We greived together as an agency even. We cried and laughed together for these 17 months as Molly Louise continued to go to work with me daily, and we saw Dr. Raymond weekly, an hours drive from home. Dr. Raymond was my steady pillar of strength and a reality check as well every step of the journey. When the end came, he helped me to see that her vital organs were shutting down and he could no longer keep her pain free.I held Molly in my arms, and he gently guided Molly Louise and I up to and through death.Literally, many people grieved her loss, but I grieved it with gratitude for the journey and the privilige of knowing this depth of love and loss.
