I have owned and shown Labrador Retrievers since 1980, and I am a retired Emergency Room RN MICN. I do not lightly give praise for medical treatment. If you live in the Antelope Valley, I can honestly say that the Pets R Us clinic is outstanding - specifically Joseph Habeeb DVM, who quite literally saved the life of this puppy. I owe him a great deal. The techs are wonderful, but I owe a debt of gratitude to Brock (I pray I got his name right), who calmed a terrified owner. Every tech I spoke with through her recovery gave me a report fitting of every good nurse I ever had the pleasure to work with.
If you ever take an animal there, please tell them that the couple from Idaho with the 9 week old puppy who had a GDV referred you. They'll remember that puppy, because GDV in a baby is so rare.
