Coco our Vizsla and Willow our Weimaraner are both seen by Anita Martinez at the US Air Force Academy Veterinary Services office. With any military installation, our doctor can change without notice. Coco has been seen by Anita since August 2008 and Willow since October 2014. Our veterinary office is located on the Air Force Academy and a special team of veterinarians not only see military working dogs, but they make time to see all active duty and retired veterans pets to. I have never had to question the care received there and on our recent visits for Willow, I am convinced that she only has the best intentions and care in mind when seeing our family members. You see, Willow seems to be allergic to what seems to be everything. While we still have not pin pointed the exact things she is allergic to, Anita has always been straight forward in what course of action should be taken when dealing with Willow. Many veterinarians have prescribed steroids to help Willow cope with the reactions to the environment and foods, but Anita's persistence in not prescribing steroids for long term use has ensured that Willow will not have future kidney or joint damage due to that medication. We are seeing a specialist for Willow, but I still take Willow to Anita for my second opinions. I hope you see Anita Martinez as the same hero for our pets as she is a hero serving our nation's military working dogs. Thanks!

These two are the most caring vets I have ever met. Not only do they legitimately care for my animals, they are aware and communicate so well with us as owners. I never feel as though I cannot ask a question. They are both attentive to my needs and my questions. I love that they are always able to provide me with multiple treatment options where I can be confident and choose not only what is best for me but what is also best for my pets. I know that they are constantly providing and donating free time to help animals in need. As I write this email, I understand that they are currently fostering 6 cats and one dog. From my understanding, they have already spayed and neutered all of cats. The dog was a rescue that had been released to the hospital because their owners couldn't afford treatment. Drs. Tang and Zoryan donated their time along with a tech, and another surgery specialist (Dr. Bausman I believe) to repair the dog's broken leg.It would be nice in situations like this to provide the hospital with funds to continue such great work. I have attached a photograph of the rescue dog in his cast.We need more caring vets and its apparent that these two along with their techs and friends, love animals.
