I first met my vet through a referral from a co-worker. My 6-month-old puppy broke her foot while rough housing with the other dogs. I took her to the emergency vet and they told me she may need pins and 5 grand in surgery. I spoke to a co-worker who recommended Dr. White and I was so thankful.They charged me a small fee for a visit and x-rays. Dr. White allayed my worries and said her foot was set well and will heal like nothing ever happened to it. Today she could be running agility courses. He even waived the follow up charges and only charged us if dressing was changed or x-rays taken. That was four years ago. Since then I have had plenty of emergency visits with my cats and dogs and every time I am relieved and greatful. Just recently I had to take my 10 yr old Dachshund in for his back. My last Dachshund was put down for his back injury so i was terrified. Through laser treatment and a two week stay Dr. Gary White returned to me a puppy. My Dachshund was a completely different dog and I cried when I picked him up. What is usually a huge debt and a death sentence turned out to be an affordable life saving treatment. I can't thank him enough for returning my baby to me.He has saved the lives of three of my animals and I recommend him to everyone.

My vet is the best because he always does his best to provide the best care for all my animals, but he never tried to suggest something to be done that they really don't need. If he thinks I'm a little to dramatic about something I may think is wrong, he takes the time to talk me out of doing extra work I can't really afford and explain why my cat/cats don't need it. I found four 3wk old kittens in my friend's bumper and needed help with them because their mother had left them. I took them to Dr. Pilch but asked him to do what was needed but that I didn't have much money. He had all four kittens bathed, deflead, gave them shots, and a thorough check up. Then a few days later, one of the same kittens became ill and I took it back to him. He took care of this kitten giving it a shot he needed and when all was done, the amount I had to pay for both visits was not even $200. He knew my financial position but only cared about the wellbeing and health of these sweet, tiny kittens. I will never forget the love and attention he gave to them. Needless to say, he gives the same loving care, attention and respect to all my animals that I bring in and to me as well. I place Dr. Pilch in very high regard.

Dr. White and his entire staff are amazing! They are compassionate and caring. Whenever we stop by, I feel like my pets are coming to see old friends. Dr. White spends as much time as you need for any appointment - NOT watching the clock or rushing you, yet I have not had to wait long for my appointments. The office staff seems to manage the scheduling just right. He spent a good hour with us during our new puppy visit recently. Dr. White is very knowledgeable and keeps current with all aspects of animal care. The staff calls periodically to see how the pets are getting along, not just to schedule appointments. We had a beloved dog that we had to put down this past fall, and everyone at the hospital was supportive and very thoughtful both in the way they handled our dog and in their kindness toward us. That Dr. White truly loves animals is evident in every way at Huntington Hospital. My father-in-law was a vet, so I am spoiled and used to great care. Dr. White is the first vet we have used since my father-in-law passed away who I feel treats my animals like family. He is the best!!
