Dr. VanTine is a compassionate wonderful veterinarian. I first met her when my then 4 year old golden retriever came home from a well known kennel with horrendous hot spots and fever. His hot spots were so bad he couldn't lay down; I'll spare you the details. Not knowing us, Dr. VanTine worked him into her already packed schedule and treated him. That began a relationship that took Riley through turning 15 years old. He developed unremitting diarrhea and arthritis, which Dr. VanTine treated using Western and Eastern veterinary medicines including herbal treaments and acupuncture. During another vacation, he got so sick my neighbor had to take him in and I remember Dr. VanTine telling me not to worry, she would keep him there at the vet hospital until we got home. I never questioned her judgement and knew she would make the right decisions. It's comforting to be able to say "do what you need to" and not worry about it. Riley was a regular at the clinic, sometimes weekly, for his acupuncture treatment. He wouldn't have been able to walk without them. When the time came to put Riley to sleep, again, compassioante outstanding care was received. I loved that dog with my heart and soul and I know she did too. I now have two young golden retrievers; guess which vet I chose for their care?
