Dr. Hinkle has been my pets' vet for over 15 yrs. She is always up to date on the newest treatments for her furry patients. When other vets were unable to help my kitty KC with anxiety causing him to lick his tummy bare, she suggested a new "human" medication. He stopped the licking, hair grew back and Buspar is now recognized for animals. When my 15 yr old kitty, Desi, needed major teeth extractions and I wasn't working at the time, she recommended me to Silver Paws who assists senior citizens with medical bills and they paid $1,000 so I didn't have to put Desi down and we had 2 more years together. Just this week, my 1 year old kitty, Tobi, needed over $2,000 worth of tooth extractions. Dr. Hinkle could have done it and taken the fee; however, she told me she wanted Tobi to have the best vet in the hospital for dental work and she referred me to Dr. Jill Mercado instead. She is the most giving and caring doctor of any kind I've ever known...and I'm 73 years old, so I've known a lot of docs in my life. Dr. Hinkle is retiring this month and I would love to honor her with the prize as "My Vet's the Best" and for the Animal Hospital of Cotati to receive a $1000 to help other animals and their guardians like I was helped.
