I have been taking my pets both cats and dogs to Dr. Lax for almost 25 years. We started when he was Alga Pet Hospital. You will not find a more knowledgeable caring Vet than Dr. Lax. He will never steer you wrong. Many of his staff members have been with him for years and they are all compassionate and love what they do. I would not take my pets anywhere else even if we move 100 miles away.

Dearest Dr. Johnathan Lax, Dr. Paula Dvorchak, Dr. Chloe Harrington, Dr. Yolanda Kenney and our friends at Bressi Ranch Pet Hospital,
There are not enough words to thank you for everything that you’ve done for Brady and our family since we first met at Alga Pet Hospital in 2009, continuing throughout his lifetime at Bressi Ranch and especially during his final days in December 2020. You’ve cared and comforted not only Brady but both of his parents as well.
We couldn’t be more thrilled to be back 3 months later with our new puppy, Brody Liam “Little Bro of Brady”. We know he will receive the same exceptional care and love that his brother before him did.
You all epitomize excellence in your trained profession while simultaneously conveying the best qualities of the human spirit: kindness, trust, compassion, empathy and love. The world would be a better place with more people like all of you who truly embody the mission of Bressi Ranch Pet Hospital. Dr. Lax was trained in So. Africa and for 10 yrs ran a clinic in a small remote African village, taking care of the entire pet population, including alligators, horses, monkeys and a wild animal farm.Since opening Bressi Ranch Pet Hospital he has had a booming business because of his dignified personality and his vast knowledge. You immediately feel confident when meeting Dr. Lax. Every service provided here is top notch, including teeth cleaning with people anesthesia.Dr. Lax is a caring, responsible, available vet who always follows up with his patients. My dog needed surgery and Dr. Lax referred us to a great surgery hospital and gave great followup care.He is practical, sympathetic but professional, and just an all around great vet. His facility is first class, and his staff first rate.

Dr. Sorenson clearly explains the possible causes of symptoms I observe in Dakiene. She tells me the options for addressing the symptoms and/or their causes. She advocates for the least invasive effective approach. If she thinks that Dakiene would benefit fro seeing a specialist, she does not hesitate to say so. Since Dr. Sorenson has known Dakiene (now 11 years old) since she was a puppy, she takes Dakiene's health history into account when considering the possible options to address Dakiene's symptoms and/or their causes. Dr. Sorenson somehow manages to set my mind at ease when I am needlessly worried about Dakiene, and is always prompt at returning my calls or emails.

Besides being a very smart doctor she is gentle and patient with my dogs....and with me!!! She communicates well and has no problem sitting down and talking through the situation always accepting my input positively.

the motto of Bressi Ranch is "Caring people caring for your pets," and that fits Dr. Kenney completely. From the first my dog and I met her, we both knew she was the one for us. She kept great care of my dog, even as he faded away. She even found me another dog shortly after Beasley left us, and although I did not finally accept that dog - I was still grieving - I felt it was way beyound her duty as a attending vet to do that. I love her for it and hope she wins this award. She deserves recognition for her kind, caring, professional spirit. I a getting another dog soon and I will see her shortly afterwards, I am sure.

Greetings!My vet, Dr. Marie Benitez, is the most awesome vet ever! Following a series of bad experiences with my first vet, their primary interest seemed to be making money, I ventured forth to find someone better. My first dog Cleo is a special needs dog. I rescued her when she was 5 months old. She is very fearful of new things and she is generally distrustful of strangers. Dr. Benitez is the perfect vet for a dog like Cleo. Her kind and caring approach puts Cleo at ease, at least to the degree Cleo can be at ease, and really makes the entire vet visit much easier for both Cleo and for me! My experience with Dr. Benitez has been so positive that it was a no brainer when it came to choosing the vet for my second dog Tucker. Tucker does not enjoy going to the vet, but Dr. Benitez has been patiently working with him over these past 2 years to make him more comfortable with the process. He still whines and complains while were there, you cant believe what a ruckus a 10lb dog can create, but he has never shown any agression towards Dr. Benitez or any of the staff at Governor Animal Clinic.All of the doctors at the Governor Animal Clinic are great at what they do, but Dr. Benitez has some special qualities that set her apart from the others!

She is a caring loving person who not only performs as a Doctor should, but thinks about his welfare even when at home and worries if he is doing ok. She calls our home to make sure all is ok and in years past nursed our little dog back to health from a very difficult illness where he had MERSA in his toenails and it was a long ongoing process to recovery. Their hours are 8:00AM to 7:00PM seven days a week. All treatments have been successful and when things were not so easy Dr. Kenny was always ready to listen and think outside the box. for alternative treatments. Doctor Kenny has managed to keep a near 15 year old Toby with uncertain chalenges alive and well with her knowledge and expertise. All in all I only wish I had as good of a Doctor for myself. I would consider myself very lucky to have her. Thank You Dr. kenny for all the good that you do.
